This summer, InsideOut Yoga Studio introduces an intensive, month-long Yoga Teacher Training Course. This course is for people who wish to teach yoga classes, as well as those who simply wish to deepen their yoga practice.
In accordance with Yoga Alliance stipulations, participants will learn teaching methodology, anatomy and physiology, yoga history and philosophy, pranayama and meditation and of course detailed asana study. There is also a strong reflection component to the courses, which helps participants to develop themselves as well as their skill and understanding of yoga.
InsideOut Yoga’s Teacher Training faculty includes: Kim Trimmer, M.Ed., E-RYT, Director of Teacher Training, teaching since 1998, owner of InsideOut Yoga; Sarah Playtis. MSPT teaches anatomy, how it relates to yoga asana and common injuries which affect yoga practice, Irene Tokar, LMP, E-RYT provides asana instruction as well as work with the Subtle Body and overview of some of yoga’s historical roots, Shannon McCall, E-RYT provides an introduction to Ayurveda and asana instruction, Stephanie Sisson, leads chanting and introduces Sanskrit pronunciation and basic Devanagari (written Sanskrit).
Because yoga and teaching will stretch you in so many ways, a strong bond forms among classmates. Because our training is limited to eight participants, you will have great access to your instructors, gaining a very personal training experience.
Once you complete the class, you will be eligible for Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200) status with the Yoga Alliance.
