Yoga Camp is back!!!
October 26, 27, 30, 31, November 2, 3, 6, 7, 9 and 10; 6:00 – 7:15am, $145*

Adults should get to go to camp too! So, here’s your opportunity for daily yoga camp with no interruption to your regularly scheduled life.

Here’s how it will work: I will develop a sequence for the class. I will
teach it at the beginning of camp and give you a copy of the
sequence, complete with stick figures.

After the first two classes you will practice at your own pace using the printed copy.
Each day when you arrive, you can let me know where you would like assistance/tips in the sequence and I will come work with you individually on those poses. I will also be observing the practice and offering suggestions where I think you could have an improved experience.

This is an amazing opportunity for you to get individual attention and to develop your practice. You will see what you can accomplish in a short period of time with repeated practice. You will also get to enjoy the many benefits of a dedicated daily practice.
MINIMUM OF 6 STUDENTS REGISTERED AND PAID FOR THIS CLASS TO BE HELD! Tuition is nonrefundable and nontransferable.

Community Saturday, First and Third Saturday, October 7 and 21, November 4 and 18, December 2 and 16.
First Saturday Yoga with Christa, 9 – 10:15am, $10.
Third Saturday Yoga with Kim, 9 – 10:15am, $10.
Third Dharma Talk with Kim, 10:30 – 11:30am, Dana (Benefits scholarship fund)

Join us on the first and third Saturdays of each month for a Yoga Asana Class and/or a Dharma talk. The yoga class will be an all levels class so every one is welcome. We’ll breathe, stretch and strengthen our bodies and most likely laugh. Expect to be warmly welcomed and to feel relaxed and calm at the end of the practice.

On the third Saturday stay for the dharma talk afterwards (or come just for the talk). These will be topical conversations on how yoga and meditation can apply to and improve your experience of life off your yoga mat. Though we weave philosophy into regular weekly class times, this will be an opportunity to deepen understanding of the underlying philosophy of yoga and to get your questions answered. The discussions will be informal and your input will be welcome.
Dharma Topics (Subject to change):

October 21 – Forgiveness and Gratitude a path to freedom
November 18 – The Koshas (sheaths) means of understanding human experience
December 16 – The Brahmaviharas – overview: loving-kindness, compassion, empathetic joy, equanimity

Yoga Boost
Saturdays, October 21, November 18, December 16; 1:30 – 4:30pm, $45*

Here’s an opportunity for you to see what your body could really do when properly warmed up and prepared for a pose!

You will surprise yourself!

In this three-hour intensive you will work with the particular theme and focus pose of the current 8-week series. In our weekly classes we have 1-1/4 hour to lay the groundwork for our focus pose. As such we tend to focus on one area of the body each week. With three hours we will explore all aspects of the pose and thoroughly prepare your body to move as deeply as possible into the more intense postures. You will know more completely what exactly it is that stands in your way and very likely find that it is less of an obstacle when you’ve had more time to warm your body to construct the pose. Be prepared to be amazed. Really!

Mindful Movement
Saturday, November 11, 2:00 – 4:00pm, $35*

Gently unravel tension habits in your body
that may be causing nagging aches and pains.

This workshop is based on my studies of Somatic Movement Education, Feldenkrais Awareness through Movement Practices, Continuum Movement and Meditation. We will proceed gently, mindfully and sometimes repetitively through movement patterns specifically designed to break up habitual tension arrangements in the body. I often incorporate these practices into regular weekly classes – by popular demand I am offering this workshop focused solely on these surprisingly effective systems. Expect to leave the workshop feeling calm and centered with newfound freedom in your mobility.

Previous experience is not necessary to participate.
